Description

Solvable Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) thins acrylics, lacquers & epoxies. Its heavy duty formula quickly dissolves resins, adhesives, contact cement… thins fiberglass resins, and degreases repair tools. MEK can also be used for removing old finishes from wood surfaces, and for cleaning and preparing PVC plastic surfaces before applying glue.

• Solvable Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) is both less soluble and less volatile than acetone as it does not evaporate, nor dry, as quickly. It is a stronger cleaning agent and is very effective at dissolving or removing paint, older coating layers, residual glue, ink, dirt & grease from many surfaces. MEK is regularly used for thinning speciality coatings; fiberglass, acrylics, lacquers & epoxy resins.
